“Butiga- food heritage” is a place that unites two Croatian communities and their valuable producers – the island of Krk and the Vukovar – Srijem County, presenting to the world local, healthy and traditionally made food.
In our Butiga you’ll find Krk’s sheep cheese – the main ingredient in our traditional dessert called presnac; Krk prosciutto, uniquely flavored with wild herbs from Krk and the first Croatian product protected by the European Union; our island’s liquid gold, extra virgin olive oil; and dried meat products from Slavonia: kulen, kulen seka, čvarci, sausages, bacon, and homemade lard.
