The cemeteries in the Municipality of Malinska – Dubašnica are managed by the Utility Company Dubašnica Ltd. in accordance with the Decision on Cemeteries of the Municipality of Malinska – Dubašnica (SN PGŽ br. 16/18) and under the conditions and manner prescribed by the Decision. The company is authorized to perform burial services.
Utility Company Dubašnica Ltd. maintains a sufficient number of available grave sites to meet the needs of families.
When purchasing a burial plot, a new user receives a decision on the use of the plot and pays a fee for its allocation. Decisions are issued at the Cemetery Administration Office at the company’s headquarters, Stipkino 21, tel. 051 859 961, on weekdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
All users of leased burial plots are required to pay an annual cemetery fee as stipulated in Article 13 of the Cemetery Act and Article 16 of the Cemetery Decision. This fee covers the actual shared costs of maintaining the cemetery, including water, electricity, waste disposal, and landscaping, as outlined in the annual Business Plan.

In addition to the leaseholder, the right to be buried in a leased burial plot is also granted to their family members, who, according to the Cemeteries Decision, are considered to be: spouses and common-law partners, descendants and adopted children and their spouses or common-law partners, and their parents. Users may also grant the right to be buried to third parties in writing (certified by a notary public).
If there are multiple leaseholders of the same burial plot, all co-leaseholders must provide written consent for the burial of the deceased prior to the funeral, either by personally visiting the Cemetery Administration Office or by submitting a notarized statement.
In the event of a lack of consent for burial, or in the event of a dispute regarding the right to burial in a burial plot or its use, pursuant to the Cemetery Act, Utility Company Dubašnica Ltd. will suspend the burial in the burial plot until the dispute is resolved.
Any changes related to the burial plot leaseholder, such as changes to personal data (name and surname), changes of residence, transfer of the right to use the burial plot through purchase, sale, or inheritance, etc., must be immediately reported to the Cemetery Administration Office for entry into the Burial Register, on weekdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
According to the provisions of the Cemetery Act (NN br. 19/98, 50/12 i 89/17), burial plots are considered real estate and are subject to inheritance.
According to the Cemeteries Act, Article 15, Paragraph 3, after the death of the user of a burial plot, the use of the burial plot is acquired by his heirs. In order for the use to be transferred to new users in the probate procedure, it is necessary to obtain a Certificate of Use of the Burial Plot, which is an extract from the Burial Register.
The Certificate can be obtained at the Cemetery Administration Office, tel. 051 859 961, on weekdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Upon completion of the proceedings, the final court decision on inheritance must be submitted to the Cemetery Administration Office in order to regulate the status of the burial plot and transfer the right to use it to the new user.
